Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR) helps you optimize your cloud architecture according to the six pillars of the Well-Architected framework.
The operational excellence pillar focuses on running and monitoring systems to improve processes.
The security pillar focuses on protecting information and systems.
The reliability pillar focuses on ensuring that the workload works correctly and consistently.
The performance efficiency pillar focuses on using IT and computing resources efficiently.
The cost optimization pillar focuses on controlling costs and selecting the most appropriate resources.
The sustainability pillar focuses on minimizing the environmental impacts of running cloud workloads.
Review is a five-step process in which we present all the WAFR benefits, analyze your solution, and present our findings with an improvement plan.

The Review is two workshops (3h) with the client’s team to review various topics related to the Well-Architected six pillars.

After the Review, we analyze high-risk issues and prepare an improvement plan for every Well-Architected pillar.

We present the improvement plan and steps to align your solution with the Well-Architected Framework.

Based on the improvement plan, we define the Scope of Work and the cost for the Remediation phase.
| Outcome: Scope of Work is defined and commercial offer is accepted or rejected
In the Remediation phase, we solve the problems defined in the Scope of Work. The project ends with the final presentation in which we present the remediation outcomes. If more than 45% of HRI have been solved, we issue a funding request.
Cost: BASED ON THE SOW
Remediation is the actual project of solving the identified problems. We solve all the issues defined in the Scope of Work.

The second step is a presentation for business leaders presenting the issues we resolved with short- and long-term actions to keep customers’ architecture up-to-date.

The third and final step is a funding request to AWS to claim available funding for the Remediation phase.
